I am originally from southern California, and received my Bachelor of Science degree from Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan, and then went back to southern California to receive a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University. My passion for dentistry motivates me to attend numerous post graduate classes and seminars. I absolutely love to learn about the latest and greatest techniques that I can offer you and your family.
After I fulfilled my first dream of becoming a dentist, I fulfilled my second dream by marrying the love of my life, Helen, a week after graduation. We now have two beautiful children, Jason and Kiana who bring constant joy to our lives.
At Dalton Family and Cosmetic Dentistry, I am focused on changing lives one smile at a time. We do almost everything here, from cosmetic, implant, orthodontic dentistry, to TMJ disorders and migraine prevention. I was lucky to find a GREAT partner, Dr Rosanie Voegele, who shares my views and philosophies. After all, we both graduated from the prestigious Loma Linda University. Not only is she a great dentist who loves what she does, she is the most sincere and kindhearted person I have ever met! Together as a team, you will receive our undivided attention in a caring manner. Since there are two dentists here, we can better serve you together, after all two minds are greater than one. We also offer "relaxed" dentistry, to help comfort those who are high anxiety or fearful about coming to the dentist. Children of all ages are welcome. If you have an emergency, we will do our best to squeeze you in the same day. We are here to serve you!
I am so happy to have this opportunity to welcome you to our office, and I pledge I will give you 110% to provide you with excellent care in all aspects of treatment, dentally and emotionally. We understand that there is a person attached to the mouth. We and our fantastic team will work together with professionalism and integrity to make your visits as smooth as possible. I look forward to meeting you and your family and welcome you as valued patients.
I received a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Loma Linda University at La Sierra in 1984 and in 1989 received my Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Loma Linda University School of Dentistry. I have lived in the South for most of my life, and just recently relocated from North Carolina with my prince charming husband of nineteen years and our three wonderful children. We are tremendously happy in our new home. The town and people of Dalton are lovely and as an added bonus, we are now closer to family and great friends.
Since graduation, I have continued my professional development to improve and refine my clinical skills in order to stay current on new information and to benefit my patients. As a testament to my profession, I have had licenses and practiced dentistry in California, Maine, North Carolina and now Georgia. I received my Georgia license by credentials in 2006 and have been a member of The Academy of General Dentistry for many years.
For the past two decades, I have been extremely privileged to be part of this great profession, which I have only grown to love more with each passing year. There is nothing more rewarding than teaching and helping my patients’ care for their smiles. Even more, I love to conquer their fears about dentistry. Dentistry has come a long way - I’m definitely not your parent’s dentist.
Dentistry combines many of my passions. It’s not just about teeth – dentistry is about helping others change their lives with science, skill and art! It’s engineering and construction with a special calling for ministry and healing. General dentistry for me has always included cosmetic dentistry; so, being a dentist is like being the ultimate interior decorator!
My goal has always been to serve my patients with the best science -- tried and true techniques. I focus on the entire mouth, not just the front 12 teeth. I am conservative; I don’t like to destroy perfectly healthy tooth structure for any reason. My patient’s long-term happiness is my reward.
I am committed to doing my best and when it is appropriate, I consult with another highly skilled dentist. Luckily, in our office, patients get two consultations and opinions in one visit. Jacob Lee, DDS and I work as a team. I am incredibly blessed to have found such a great partner in Dr. Lee, an amazingly gifted clinician. I value my colleague’s opinion. He is a hardworking, techno-savvy, continuing education junky who is just as fervent about caring for our patients as I am. We look forward to meeting you and caring for your dental needs.
